You should know right off the bat that my approach to fashion is a minimalistic one. I believe in investing in quality pieces that are timeless and last for years to come. Trendy fast fashion is not my thing and I think it is having a devastating effect on the planet. I would rather spend $500 on a jacket that will last me 10-20 years than $100 a year on a jacket that will go out style the following year. This is always the approach I try to take when purchasing new items.
As I’ve grown up and started to travel more I also find it very freeing to be able to pack the entire continents of my wardrobe into a suit case or a backpack and take off. It’s a very liberating feeling to not always have a bunch of stuff weighing you down. So when I buy something new I donate something old. This forces me to really consider the purchase I am making. I also tend to walk away before I buy. If I’m still thinking about the item a few weeks from now I’ll go back and get it. There is nothing wrong with having nice things, you just don’t need all of the nice things all of the time.
Solid colours, neutrals, and items that could be dressed up or down are my forte.
