Another year has come and gone. I know that cliche of new years resolutions and that most of them get completely written off my the time January is over but I do think that taking some time to envision what you want your coming year to look like, setting goals, writing them down and coming up with action plans still has an importance. Call them goals instead of resolutions if you wish. Resolutions seem to be statements we make without any serious thought or planning. Example β€œI am going to lose 20 pounds,” or β€œI am going to be a happier version of myself” but we don’t really put any planning into these statements. We go about living life the way that we normally would expecting change to manifest without putting in the effort. Goal are a little different. If you set a deadline, create an action plan and keep yourself accountable every day you can make significant changes in your life.

Taking time to reflect, and day dream is important. Keeping a list of the things you want to accomplish and checking that list regularly to make sure you are on track is also very important. So as cliche as New Years Resolutions are I do hope you take the time to envision the life you want to live and then make a plan to start living it on your terms. What are some of your goals for the new year? Feel free to leave them in the comments. I look forward to reading them and watching you achieve them.
