I had the pleasure of working with Christina for a few months last year, she is full of energy and light and always makes you laugh, even in the most stressful of situations. I admired Christina’s spirit and her desire to travel and live life by her own rules. She was working hard to save for a few different trips and is determined to live her life in a way that makes her happy. As we got to know each other more she told me about a brilliant blog that she was starting with her sister called Sisters With Suitcases. Her blog consists of travel tips, stories and beautiful pictures that will give you a deep desire to pack everything you own into a suit case and book a flight to an exotic destination. Check it out, and read below to learn a littl more about Christina and what inspires her.

Tell Us A Little Bit About Yourself And What You Do?

My name is Christina, I’m 26 and I was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. Although it feels like I have not spent that much time in Toronto over the past few years due to traveling so much, I have never actually lived in a different city. I recently decided to switch things up and move to Vancouver. I’m currently travel blogging all my adventures on a site that I started with my sister Stephanie called Sisters With Suitcases.

How Did You Decide/What Inspired You To Start Sisters With Suitcases.

Me and Stephanie both love to travel, and we are also both big on doing tons of research before we go to a new place. We like to scope out the best places to eat and drink and things to do that are not super touristy. Don’t get me wrong – we also do touristy stuff, but we like to have a mix on the agenda. We often get asked about places to go, or what we recommend doing in a city that we have visited, so we decided to share all our adventures and advice somewhere where more than just our friends would have access to it.

What Inspires You?

Passionate people, music and documentaries.

What Is Your Personal Mantra Or Mission Statement?

Let go of what does not serve you. Do not hold grudges, or waste time on what other people think. Be kind, and always follow your heart.

What Does Happiness Mean To You?

Living my life the way I want, and not worrying about what other people think.

What Are Your Hobbies?

Yoga, cooking, running, hiking, diving, reading and Netflix.

What Are A Few Things You Do Every Single Day To Keep Yourself On Track?

For keeping on track with the blog we send an email every morning outlining what we accomplished, what our personal goals for the day are, and what new ideas we are thinking about. It’s something I really love doing because it keeps me accountable and sets an intention for the day.

Another thing I do is try and incorporate yoga into my day. It’s a big part of my life and something that I believe helps to keep me focused. During my practice I am able to completely let go of all my thoughts and recharge. If I don’t have time to make it to a class I try and do a small session at home.

If You Could Give Advice To Someone Looking To Get Into Your Field What Would It Be And Why?

Create an outline for what you want your blog to be, over time it will most likely evolve but having an outline will help the initial process.

Set attainable goals.

Be prepared, because it is a lot more work than you think. Have back up content for when you don’t have time to create new work, constant content helps keep readers coming back and when you take a long hiatus you can lose readers. There is a lot of content available so try and find something that will make you unique!

What Has Been Your Most Rewarding Experience So Far? Work Or Personal

Fostering my first puppy Ziggy from Mexico.

What Is The Biggest Challenge You’ve Overcome In Your Life Thus Far? What Did You Learn? Are You Thankful For What It Taught You?

About a year ago I made a decision that I knew would push me out of my comfort zone, and leave me financially unstable – but I thought would ultimately lead me to be a better version of myself. I have learned that when you push yourself you can achieve a lot, having a good support system can get you through anything, and that you should never settle for anything less than you deserve. I am extremely thankful for what it taught me.

Who Is Your Role Model/ Who Has Been The Most Influential Person In Your Life?

My sister is the person who I’ve looked up to my entire life. Her ability to always know what she wants and never settle for anything less is inspiring to me. She also has an amazing work ethic, which plays a major part in the success of Sisters With Suitcases.

When Do You Feel Most Inspired?

When I’m exploring a new place.
